I think they change the puzzles and bits of stuff in the La-Mulana paid version compared to the freeware one, so you can play one and then the other and still have to solve different puzzles.

We're not even getting the full game yet. The co-op mode is being released later as an update. I can only hope they can actually deliver this summer like they said and not just delay it until fucking next summer like they did with the patch to fix console crashing bugs in the Wii U version of 1001 Spikes. That shit was supposed to be patched "a few day after release".
