>see pic related one day at EVO side stream (apparently this game has competitive multiplayer)
>pick it up for cheap at a local vidya chain
>fuck year puzzles and tits
>30 minutes later dad walks in to the living room
>looks at the cover with raised eyebrows and asks me what the game is
>tell him its a puzzle game where the MC climbs towers and deals with cheating on his GF
>start over so he can watch
>while I climb the tower he reads the manual and learns about the characters
>he loves the loading screen quotes and bar scenes
>ends up watching me play for the next 2.5 hours and asks me not to go too far without him
Anyone else had family that would watch or play vidya with you?

My grandfather watched me play Fallout: New Vegas for an hour or to. He's an outdoors man so wandering around Zion was really interesting to him.

My father played space invaders for the N64 with me growing up, the only video game he's ever played. Honestly it isn't a very good game but I have fond memories of it regardless.
>>
My dad watched me play through Yakuza 0. We both got emotional at the end, fucking majima.
Yesterday I showed him Golden boy and we laughed our asses of.
Feels good to have a dad who watches Chinese cartoons.

>used to play NES, Genesis at his house with him and my cousins when I was younger
>it's his last day in town so he's leaving the next morning
>it's also release night for Super Smash Bros. Brawl
>tell him how excited I am to get it tomorrow, sad that he couldn't stay to play it with me
>"how about we play it tonight then?"
>comes and gets me after parents go to sleep
>drives me to fucking GameStop and waits in line with me for the midnight release
>he makes a joke about the budding neckbeards
>we get home and jump straight on the Wii
>set up our names and control schemes and play through some SSE, classic, plus some team matches against CPUs
>I get tired and eventually lay back, he tries some event matches
>fall asleep
>wake up to a note with $50 in it
>"check custom stages"
>left me seven stages designed to provide different challenges detailed in the note, tells me I can keep the $50 if I fulfill certain conditions, of course I do them all in one day
>one year later
>playing Brawl
>parents walk in
>tell me uncle has cancer
>three weeks to live
>ask mom for a number I could use to call him and talk to him
>she gives me my cousin's number
>never called him
>never said thank you
>never said goodbye

I feel sorry that you couldn't say goodbye. Your uncle was an awesome guy.

But try to take this memory as a learning experience to constantly tell your loved ones what you feel for them.

This one teacher at the high school I went to was really into Catherine and Persona.
>>
>>381174684
My mom watched me play Catherine and said that the protagonist reminds her of me, because he always looks anxious and distressed and walks like a spineless slob.
She was right.

Me and my dad had a competition over who would get further in the Tank game, it was the shit. The banter was fucking great and we had so much fun. Once I got to mission 100 , for like a month, all we heard from the living room was my dad cursing while this song played.

Mr Sheckelstein wouldn't like that.

Used to watch my older cousin play through a couple games on PS1 and PS2.

Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 3, along with Vice City and San Andreas were the games I remember the most.

Back when my Dad had his old place, he'd watch me play Fallout 3, and me and my brothers would play a couple of co-op games like Left 4 Dead 2.
Saw my brothers last Saturday, found out they've gotten into PC games
>>
My father watched me playthrough shadow of the colossus. It was really neat.
>>
My whole family would play Rock Band together back when it came out

My Mom got the new one for Christmas last year, so I've been going over to play it so she doesn't feel like it was a waste of money.
>>
>>381187424
Also forgot, up until after the PS2, my sisters would play some vidya with me.

I remember being about 7 when my older sister helped me beat a boss in this one Spongebob game, and before that, we'd play Super Mario Brothers, Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat on the SNES

You ain't getting my shekels jew.
Maybe give me a job that pays 35 a hour and five years of a studio apartment with no car fee or student loan complications, THEN I won't pay 50% average rate rent from my parents.

At this modern age, you might as well procreate at freaking 36.
>>
>>381174684
in YE OLDEN DAYS my older sister used to play the first settlers with me watching and advising her on war related issues while she did the economy part. shit was cash.
