1 is great, 2 is good but gave Isaac too much personality.

3 is outright dog shit. Total complete and utter shit through and through. "Being good with a friend" argument does not support any argument against that because going outside and tossing around dog shit could always be fun with friends.

Dead Space is a fucking classic.
Dead Space 2 is sort of worth playing after you've exhausted Dead Space, just to get a bit more of the same flavor, but is honestly a pretty shit game.
Dead Space 3 is utter shit, ultra-casualized near-shovelware garbage, full of objective failure in every aspect, basically unidentifiable as connected to the other games at all except for a few specific elements (which very easily COULD have been inserted, or removed, at a late stage of development).

This is a pattern that is repeated throughout the industry, particularly with 'classics'. Other examples include Deus Ex -> Invisible War -> Project Snowblind, or FEAR -> FEAR 2 -> FEAR 3.
