Now it's understandable to be skepticle after Mercury Steams shitty Castlevania games, but keep this in mind regarding Samus Returns:

>Produced by Yoshio Sakamoto, who has overseen every Metroid besides II
>Soundtrack by Kenji Yamamoto and Minako Hamano, who did the soundtracks for previous Metroid games
>General development and design is by people over at Nintendo EPD

It has been confirmed that Mercury Steam are pretty much nothing but code monkeys for this game, as well as suggesting SOME creative ideas that NINTENDO refine and work with.

This is going to be a fantastic, fantastic game that Metroid fans have been wanting for 13 years.
