I regret trading this game in along with AC: Syndicate for some sheckles.

Syndicate left such a bad taste in my mouth that I just wanted to abandon the series completely, but now Origins seems kind of cool. I dig the egypt stuff a lot so if anything, I'll probably get it just for that. As long as they get rid of all the boring "assassin" shit that doesn't matter like tailing and eavesdropping, I'd be fine with it.

I 100%ed that game but I can't really say why, the world was just kinda comfy. Hated Connor though, what's worse, I loved Haytham but the game kept cucking me by showing how awesome he is but forced me to play Connor.

Once in a lifetime game, AC games have always been my guilty pleasure but AC4 truly stands on top of them all. Apparently the new one is being made by the same team, hopefully it will be just as good.

Fuck off it's a terrible game.
The combat is so easy a fucking monkey could progress through the entire game without dying once. To add insult to injury it's so shallow that after ten minutes you've already seen how every single fight in the game will go and from that point on it's just pointless tedium. The naval combat is the exact same as you can't sail for more than fifteen seconds without encountering another group of ships who all fight and are fought in the exact same way as every other ship in the game. The actual gameplay of Black Flag is just nauseating repitition of the most simply mechanics.

Then to top it off the story is terrible which is to be expected in an Asscreed game, the characters are poorly written and for the most part it takes itself far too seriously.

the game didn't really do a good job of making it feel like you were part of a 'crew' like the end of the game hints at. in fact i barely remembered any of the 'crew' by the end of it. mostly i just remembered kenway's shitty characterisation and one note delivery.

I don't usually like using "comfy" to describe games, but I'll be damned if AC4 wasn't a great way to unwind after a long day. If I could only play one Ass Creed game in my life and never touch the series again it would be that one.
