What is the usual resale price of a physical copy of a game in comparison with the original price?

$55.99

t. GameStop

On average I'd say about half price, but the main determining factors are:

>time passed since release
If a game just came out, used games typically only sell for ~$5 less than the retail price

>copies printed
If a game is rare, it sells for more. If a reprint happens, the price crashes

>popularity
If the IP is popular or the game is a cult classic, it will sell for more. Releases on other platforms may effect the price, but not by much

A perfect storm of all 3 of these would be something like Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
>>
Depends on the game.
Is it rare?
Old?
Demanded?
>>
Depends on who you sell it to.

Yeah the question was more oriented to "selling the game back to gamestop"
