the create a wrestler sucked ass, you couldn't morph body types any more and had to pick generic arms/legs/bodies from a list of like, fucking 6. the game was glitchy as fuck too. randomly crashed. unwinnable scenarios in the career mode all throughout (which is a fucking slog anyway, shit's like a 400h grind)

and not to mention they fucking said when they announced 2k17 that they'd have a special "suplex city" mode to make up for lack of a showcase which I guess was just a lie or something since there's no such thing.

then on top of all that shit they have day 1 DLC, AND they have fucking DLC that isn't included with the season pass ($60 season pass + $15 character pack on top of a full price game)

so no i don't think this year has much of a shot of topping no mercy or any of the old games. i don't care if they bring back GM mode, the game is fundamentally fucking shit.

2K14 was the last one I think, they might have kept it in for the PS3/360 versions of everything since then but it's bullshit they couldn't get a workaround for PS4/Xbone since making custom characters with custom entrance music is all I ever fucking did in 2K14

I'll clarify it a bit more. It was a mode that worked like career mode, but instead of a custom wrestler, you played pre-arranged matches with video/audio from the actual matches and events. They would show the video promos and outcomes of the matches, while you were able to play the classic matches. Except there was QTEs which determined if you were able to unlock costumes and bonus content.
