I think you need to hardmod or a second 3ds with a dsi game purchased from the official eshop, i'm not sure. Check on gbatemp there was a thread about that.

If you're on 11.4 there will be a way involving magnets and a modified flashcart (which you'll have to buy) but you just have to hold out for now. And don't update if one is released.
