I don't think that's has damaged in this game is calculated. The point of the kick/suplex is to gain a moment of invincibility and clear out an opening. Sometimes you can bust there heads off though

Some enemies have different qte's it also changes depending where you hit them, shooting on a ganado knee gives a different qte than shooting on his head.
