I bought it. They actually tried with the story, and it is my favorite story from an fps in a long time. Ea, in their infinite wisdom, decided to release it on the same weekend as bf1, a far inferior game with much more hype behind it. Rip titanfall 2. You could have been (and were) great

its 20bucks on sale. played 5 hours today and only bad thing it has is really bad map designs expect titanfall 1 maps those small dlcs brought to map cycle.

I'm too old for shooters. My reactions aren't what they use to be. My ability to aim has seemed to diminish, but I think that's just a function of me falling out of practice with FPS. Still, too slow at FPS to be anything more than 'Just okay'. Even if I do great for a few games I don't get as much of a sense of satisfaction as other games out there give me.

what do people think is so bad about the maps in titanfall 2? first shooter i played in a long time so i don't really have much of a reference point (never played the first game)

i played overwatch after this game and thought the maps were a whole lot shittier there. CHOKE POINTS the video game unless you pick pharah so you can actually fucking flank

I wouldn't say every map is bad, but there are a lot that just promote sitting on rooftops with hitscan weapons and being slow. Homestead being the worst of them all.

I wanted to like the multiplayer. I really did. I find the gunplay to be satisfying and the movement to be fun. But no matter how many times I die to getting melee'd by someone I can't help but get salty. Its a shame that's the only aspect that kept me from buying it.
