Explain why Horizon sold poorly on a platform with 60m users.

Yeah, it sucks but Nintendo having basically no competition on their own platform due to minimal third party support, and having stronger IPs means they basically never have to lower the price of their games. Means even if you wait, stuff like Zelda will always be full price, but with games like Horizon and the rest of the industry you have the option to wait if you're unsure and get it for cheaper a few months down the line.

Unless you're new to PlayStation and Xbox, this is completely normal. Sony/Microsoft platforms have much lower attach rates on a per-game basis than Nintendo ones because they have far more games available on the platform, and appeal to far more distinct individual audiences, while Nintendo has a relatively small audience that has an interest specifically in Nintendo IP.
