Bitches lately are super enthusiastic about the fact more main characters are being portrayed by females, and while I agree if done properly it's a refreshing change, I believe what games and specially RPGs could use are female antagonists. Everyone can write Flat Personality Heroine/Improvised Lesbian Bimbo or Spiky Hair No Brains Hero/Bald Spees Muhreen, but when an antagonist is memorable, it far outshines the main character role.
TL:DR;
What are some games with cool female antagonists? Not Dragon Age 2 shit tier of "lmao suddenly Meredith", but actual game-long antagonistic figures.
Kujas need not apply, even if close to the mark by all accounts.

Incidentally, FF has a lot of random women with the Necron complex of "yo last/mid boss time.", but few ever actually take on the main baddie role.

She is, but at the same time there's no strict reason as to why would she randomly look like a tittymonster, beyond a worldplay on the concept of source/mother.
Edea, TIME KOMPRESHON aside, was a bit more the "correct" angle in the sense that there was a reason/logic to her being a tittymonster without it taking away from her, but instead making the concept more interesting.
Heartbroken time traveling witches with a lot of rancor going for them makes for a different, more engaging flavor than what you could get from a male counterpart, simply because then it'd become... well, basically every other RPG out there.
While if you turned a character like Cloud of Darkness or Meredith into a dude, there'd be really no impactful difference.
