Judging from the hunters intro and his "vocalizations" he's definitely not human, or at least not entirely. I think he's the result of the Federation trying to create their own Samus, gene-splicing and all, but it went horribly wrong and Sylux is a disfigured, hideous creature. He stole all the shit designed for him and hunts federation personnel whenever he can. As for hating Samus it's probably just by association.

He hates the Federation so much, and hates Samus for her association

Dangerous bounty hunter, stole Galactic Federation's technology.

I'm not sure if it's due to shitty graphics or not, but I've seen him transforming into a mini spaceship and runs away when he's about to get killed in Metroid Hunters.

So he's either
a) A robot made by GF but he went on his own and started hunting down GF marines.

b) Some bio experiment that went wrong, kinda like Nemisis from Resident Evil who hunt down STAR members. Sylux maybe hated the GF for creating him as an abomination under the armor so he went against GF and all who associate with it.

Incidentally, Sylux is presented as one of the weaker hunters in the game. Whereas most hunters will fight you 1v1 or get stuck in a free-for-all like that one one Trace-Noxus-Samus clusterfuck moment, Sylux calls in gunship support to fight Samus specifically.

He doesn't seem to be confident in his ability to compete with Samus in a straight fight, and from his intro and FedForce seems to prefer being sneaky with surprise attacks. I predict that Sylux is likely to continue in this vein during Prime 4, doing his absolute best to never end up in a room alone with Samus unless he's got overwhelming support. Seems like a sabotage guy, and health draining Shock Coil + trap setting Lockjaw support that.

Whoever Sylux turns out to be, he or she will be annoying as fuck throughout the entire game.

The thing about the Prime games is that, internally, they're basically seen as a different series from the traditional and usually 2D games helmed by Sakamoto, which have always been considered to be the main Metroid series. I was thinking about buying the game either way (as long as its good) but other than that and the zelda remakes i dont know how much use i would get out of it.

I really hope Prime 4 feels and plays a lot more like Prime 1. No game has been able to recapture that feeling of exploring an alien world for me desu. That game is extremely close to perfection. Every area felt so distinct and memorable. The only thing the game needed was to maybe change up the way it handled the artifact quest at the end, and change the way boss scans were handled, since having to scan every little piece of a boss or rare enemy to make sure you didn't miss one really broke up the flow of the action.

To answer the original question(s) of this discussion: It is theoretically possible for a neutrino weapon as Sylux's, but "HIGH DENSITY" is not the phrase you'd use to describe the intensity required and it's not realistic since the technology necessary to make sylux's weapon pack the scale of a supernova into a hand-held weapon would mandate the rest of technology be way more fantastical than what the lore has.

As for what it'd be like? the nuclear weak force is the one force through which neutrinos do interact, so interactions would be not unlike the interactions of electron or neutron collisions into nuclei. So basically it wouldn't seem any different from ordinary radiation poisoning.

Sylux looks like a cheap dollar store knock off, next to Samus. Character design was the weakest aspect of the Prime's art team. I suspect it was the lead artist specifically who struggled with coming up with character designs. He made them all look like vague humanoid forms with overly simplistic color codes.
