This combat is serviceable. The rest of the game is a very rigid, by the books JRPG.
Boring quest boards, story arcs you want to end, lava mountain, ice cave, forest maze, sewers, a casino, an airship. If you've played more than a few JRPGs you've done it all before.

Looks nice, but as fun as a middling Tales game.

Level-5 wants to be a mobile game developer and haven't made a good game since whatever year Unwound Future came out in. Their only purpose at this point is revolutionizing the shota industry.

There's not really much reason to care about the franchise continuing since even if it does it'll probably be on mobile. I'm surprised they're even making this game since their last conference was just shit they could sell plastic accessories with.

It actually is this time though. I was really hyped for it and couldn't even bring myself to reach the halfway point because it just wasn't fun. It says a lot that 2 seems to be very different and almost nobody is complaining about it.
