Hello /v/. I finally have a gaming-capable PC again after quite some time without, during which time I also didn't pay attention to video games at all. What have I missed out on since, let's say, the beginning of 2014? Already got pic related installed and ready to go (I have played the first two many years ago). What else would you recommend?

Nothing too major out there to be perfectly honest. Just overhyped multiplat console games, fanbase splitting HD era reboots of classic IPs, and very few unique, new experiences.
I'd suggest checking out the Talos Principle.
It's an atmospheric, kinda story-driven puzzler, from the creators of Serious Sam series. Damn superb PC exclusive (at first), with gigantic options menus, sweet graphics, and awesome performance. Good game too.

I'm in the exact same boat; I just got a new rig Friday. I've been wondering the same thing.
I installed Dark Souls 3 and Witcher 3. Might get Metro Last Light. I upped the graphics in Ark, The Forest, R6 Siege, Overwatch, and Squad. I'm also thinking about maybe trying out Far Cry 3 & 4.

i would recommend you close this thread and go play W3 before butthurt /v/edditors spoil this game for you. if you liked the previous two games you are in for a ride. you won't enjoy other video games after finishing witcher 3. it's really good
Platinum games like Bayonetta, Vanquish, Nier
Recent Total war titles like Atilla and Warhammer are worth checking out
