The only reason you hunted it in previous games was because it was running from something.

I want a mostly new roster again. Also expand on species that only have one or two monsters to their name. To this date Zinogre and Stygian are the only Fanged Wyvern, add some more already. Same with Nerscylla's species, add in a new monster or two. Add in some new flying Wyvern that AREN'T Tigrex, Narga, or Kut-Ku skeletons or do something unique like Qurupeco. On a personal note, because there's no underwater combat design some Leviathans that can actually fight on land and hold their own like Ivory Lagiacrus and Purple Ludroth did in Tri U. Standard Lagi and Royal Ludroth were severely gimped in Generations due to the lack of water, and we still haven't seen Gobul come back because even the devs know it doesn't work properly without water.

Wait, I thought Plesioth was able to sleep from day one back in the PS2 days. Granted I never got far in that game so I wouldn't know for sure. But seriously when has Plesioth been a problem since FU? In Tri U you could chase it underwater so it had no reason to use its sleep, and in Gen all you have to do is fish the sob and it'll stay out of the water most of the fight save for area transitions on Deserted Island.

It think it's more the whole set up in general, rather than an issue with controls. It's hardly user friendly with a lot of game details not even being present in the game, and the early game taking way too long.

Volvidon and unironically Qurupeco. Rathian is pretty much a given to be in the game but over the games its probably one of the most consistently enjoyable low level hunts. Also they can skip Colossal Monsters entirely and the game will be better for it.

Lol, that's the fucking least of it's problem. No combo into a guard, no combo from a guard, no chaining sidesteps, lance slam takes FOREVER and full burst even longer (plus you still have to reload after), zero mobility outside of the scoop, heat gauge being the only weapon mechanic you can actually fuck up, shelling eating through sharpness, I could go on. GL is fundamentally fucked; its only powerful iterations in recent memory were the broken Seregios GL in 4U (where you literally never shelled and abused long purple) and Adept GL in Generations, which is just perfect guard + full burst spam and sucks ass anyways

AED != ultra spam. And in Gen it's actually far more efficient, because the MV on the phial burst II got slashed in half. It's just now you lack any graceful way of doing it. So CB is just played as a kind of awkward, slower GS, when you just wait until the monster turns around and catch on the head with the AED.
And if you think it was easy to consistently pull off GP into AED combos in 4U, you must have not played the weapon yourself. Speedrun videos just make it look easy, because those people spent thousands of hours playing with the weapon.

And no other attack has such a long wind up and recovery animations. You're not guaranteed a free AED of every GP. You have to build up the stagger closer to the threshold before you AED, and that's where the sword form with GPs and extra KO pressure play the role just as important as the axe form.
The weapon had the ideal flow in 4U, that's why it was so good. Gen CB doesn't have it and is unwieldy.
I don't care about the damage values, Capcom could nerf them to low tier for all I care. But they didn't just do that, they also butchered the weapon's moveset and playstyle.

So you're basically confessing you've never used CB.
For example to fully block a Tigrex roar CB needs BOTH Guard+2 and the red shield buff, AND it has to be GP instead of a regular block, because only GPs get that extra guard power.

Lance can't block it at all without chip damage and stun, even with G+2. Big problem on molten since you get locked into blocking for all three. Also that's one attack and has nothing to do with what that guy was talking about, which is the fact that you literally cannot counter at all without Guard+ skills (it will cancel the counter) while you can GP just fine without armor skills 95% of the time.

In Gen CB lacks meaningful follow-up options after a GP, because the transformation animation leaves you out of position or facing the wrong way, if the attack is blocked at all.
The phial discharge II in Gen does twice less damage than it used to, and mostly useful just for KO application. But it has no vertical reach to hit the head, less precise and more disruptive online, because of the tripping wide swing. It really only sees more use on the Adept CB, which just spends the entire fight in the axe mode and spam the dodge attack. But that's the exact opposite of what made the weapon feel so good in 4U.
You keep bringing up the AED damage, and I keep telling you it's not the issue here. Capcom could've nerfed the damage to silence the crybabies who thought CB was OP. But not only they did that, but they also completely messed up the weapon's moveset and playstyle.
