Pretty funny that you could do that. That being said, played through this game for the first time a few months ago, and I was surprised at how much it sucked me in. I admit I bitched out and looked at a few puzzle solutions at the very beginning because I was so lost, but a lot of that was because I didn't know the mechanics of things (like holding down the crank in the clock tower). After a while I was figuring things out myself, taking notes, and feeling super s-m-r-t. Really great backstory/atmo to the game. Achenar was in to some fucked up shit. Pic related is so simple yet so disturbing.

I haven't gotten too far into Riven. It's been harder to suck me in - I don't have a clear sense of direction and the world is so much bigger it's easy to feel lost. I haven't even really left the first island area yet.

riven sucked me in so fast, even more than the first game, the puzzles were way better. they're both great games but riven is masterpiece. wish people still made these games, but at least we got quern and obduction.
