You win easily if you have a Red Mage (Sanaki, Tharja or Celica), Xander (with quick riposte or axebreaker) and a Green Mage, Linde/Bride Caeda or Hector.

You move the red mage and green mage/hector/Linde to the bottom fortress tiles on the left and right respectively.
They kill the mages on the enemy phase.
Have the red mage and the green take out the reinforcements from the bottom part of the map while Xander is put where the red mage was (bottom left fortress tile) and proceeds to wipe the floor with the enemy.
The heavy spear lance user isn't a problem as Xander will take the hits and you use the mages to burn him down.

I just beat it on Infernal with Xander/Hector/Celica/Ryoma and didn't even use Ryoma.

Not really, for Cavalier teams they're pretty much indispensable. Camus because (lol innate Distant Counter, and Ursula due to her stat spread letting her make nearly ideal usage of how fucking busted -Blade tomes really are.
Outside of that, Sanaki is a pretty powerful Red Mage. Not top tier, but certainly won't let you down, especially since she's already 5*. Eirika is one of the two best buffers in the game for any Infantry team (Ephraim being the other), so if she's got a good stat spread you should look into promoting her eventually. Tharja is probably the second best Red Mage in the game now (dethroned by Katarina) but the two are basically interchangeable besides their defensive stats, so if she's +Spd and Sanaki isn't working out, try Tharja. You'll probably want to invest in Zephiel eventually as well, since he's the best Red Armor we have so far for what it's worth.
FCorrin is a decent 4th unit on Dragon teams, but she doesn't really matter to you since you lack Dragons. MRobin just needs Triangle Adept and something like Quick Riposte and he's set for most PvE content.
If that Cherche is +Atk, try to find her a Brave Axe + ASAP, she becomes one of the strongest units in the game with that setup. That 3* Nino might be worth investing into if +Atk/Spd as well. Titania also makes decent filler as a Mage wall with her Speed and Res.
Lastly, and I cannot stress this enough, get your fucking donut steels (Alfonse, Anna, Sharena) to at least 4*. They will always be bonus units in Arena, and they're frequently used in quests as well.

Levelling a healer is easy:

1.) Equip any strong unit with Fury 3 and remove their weapon
2.) Add a dancer and any second strong unit.
3.) Give healer default heal assist skill (+5 HP) and remove any special that heals extra HP
4.) Start 1st stratum mission and allow Fury character with no weapon to get beat up by 1-2 units while killing the rest.
5.) Healer heals unit 6-8 times, dancing to allow twice per turn.
6.) Gain EXP/SP
7.) Finish off rest of units after 6-8 heals
8.) Repeat

Slow as fuck but by far the easiest way to level healers after enemies start shrugging off their attacks.

Xander is still fine with vantage.

Basically any unit that has an all-range counter benefits greatly from Vantage but you aren't always going to get a ton of mileage out of the skill.

QR is easier to use sometimes and helps faster characters get two attacks against heroes that they'd otherwise only hit once per round. For Xander it's more about eliminating whatever he baited with two attacks regardless of enemy speed while he survives due to his beefy defense stat.

This is my Robin, but for Legion on Infernal mode I inherited Quick Riposte 1, to kill both the archer and the red mage in one turn.
Chrom is bulky, but there's better red swords. I only have him on +1 because I wanted Leo back when they had the Princess vs Prince gauntlet and I got 2 Chroms instead.
