They were like the middle mouse button, big round bumpers that you could roll and click down. It would have fucking changed the game in BOTW, In and 3rd person game you would be able to control your zoom and your camera angle with the stick/gyro if it's there. Changing weapons in any game would be god tier.
Unless there was some major problems like people were having trouble clicking on the button without spinning it I'd love to see that in a revision.
Add some backpaddles, at least one per side of the pro controller.joycons, preferable two on each side for four.
Add analog triggers as an option you can flip on and off.
Generally just fix all the issues, give it a more stable kickstand, a better option fora case, a better option for a dock so I can keep a case on
Give it a fucking gamepad mode where I can plug it into my dock and then into my tv and the switch game can be on my tv and come to my gamepad
Give it a 1080p screen, beef it up, bundle it with a game and a real controller. Wait until they can sell that for a reasonable price and until then feed of the nintendo whale.

This thing has the potential to be great in the software department but the hardware's shit. And Nintendo has gotten lazy so I doubt were going to see much in the way of change for the switch

I'm still of the camp that believes the mini switch or whatever it'll be called will have non-detachable joycons and a slimmer profile. Gutted IR tech and cameras from the joycons will make it significantly lighter and cheaper, and they could naturally still offer connectivity within the system for regular joycons so if your friend has a switch they can bring a joycon over to play with you.

The Joy Cons are the big push with the Switch, so whatever form factor happens, it would have to allow that. I doubt they're going to use "New" either any more, it popped up with the New 2DS because it needed to fit in with the older parts of the lines I imagine. Now, a bigger, more powerful one I don't know. That hasn't typically been the way they handle "consoles." The WiiU didn't have anything but a bigger harddrive one, mostly cause it flopped. The Wii had something similar and then just a smaller model. Did the Gamecube even get any revisions? It didn't do terribly well either, comparatively.

I think the problem might have been the space they would take up internally. They'd either be small wheels or buttons/sticks would have to further away from the top of the controller.

Thinking about it though, it'd be interesting to have shoulder buttons that can sense a finger sliding over them to replicate the same effect.
