The graphics are actually pretty bad all things considered, which is kinda sad considering Unity looked amazing for the time (at least on PC).

Loot system is just finding stuff that guards drop or finding treasures in a camp.
You can disassemble trinkets which gives you ressources to upgrade your gear (not your weapons).
The "gear" you upgrade are some damage modifiers like melee attacks, ranged attacks and your hidden blade damage.

The controllable arrow is one of those anachronistic tricks that was available.
But it controlled like ass and it was hard to hit nps with it.

The eagle is something I'm alright with. It's an entirely optional feature, think of it as an easy button. You can find the mission objective yourself or mark it through a wall with the eagle.

I like the Ancient Egypt setting but I'm not feeling the Witcher-like exploration, it works in certain games because there's lot of different things to do, but Ubisoft games tends to be located in "realistic" settings so there is few variations in the gameplay,

They should do an Infamous-like Assassin's Creed where you can use cheats from the Animus to get superpowers and bring havoc in historical settings
