I prefer 1v1 personally, but we can take a vote on what everyone wants. I'm going to take a break next weekend to streamline my engine, since I know I can do these things faster if I have less sloppy framework. Hopefully the original Tournament Host is ready to step up to the bat again.
My idea for the next Fight Club was a 1v1 "Edgelords Vs. Moralfriends" tournament, where you choose what alignment your Vermin is, and "Edgelords" gain abilities and/or stats from the Vermin they kill (defeat) in the bracket, and "Moralfriends" can use the Vermin they befriend (defeat) as a tag-team super blast.

The slip ups were a bit much this time, weren't they? I know you'll be more competent about handling the huge amount of players we have than I am, so I'm going to stick with smaller tournaments from now on, and focus on having cooler-looking battles instead of trying to include more people than I can handle.
I can't believe it's as popular as it is either, but it's great, even if some downsides come with the upsides. Heck, I'm surprised the three crappy doodles I made six years ago survived the test of time. Thanks for doin' all that stuff.

I had been brainstorming an idea like this, but I figured nobody would like it that much since it stifles creativity. If I had everyone fill out a premade form and bucket fill certain squares, my engine could read the image and instantly convert it into a Vermin by chopping out the appropriate parts and converting the squares to stats and abilities. I'd have 2 boxes where you'd need to fit your Vermin and your blast sprite, and it'd have to be saved with transparency.
Something like pic related. I'd be able to have the database instantly populated provided entrants followed the proper guidelines. But I figured it would turn away those who don't have any program but MSpaint or who don't know how to properly resize their drawings, so it might not be the funnest for everyone.

In regards to your last idea. I like the first part of it. Putting your vermin and blast and base stats in so it's easier to implement sounds like a grand idea and so long as people adhere to it it would greatly speed things up. However I don't much like the bottom half and would rather that shit just be hidden and have people make their own abilities like they've been doing.
