I'm playing OoT for the first time to practice my Japanese and I'm amazed how overrated and bland this game is in comparison to LBA2 which came year earlier.

From what I've played this year thus far, I'm feeling quite good honestly. BoTW ended up being quite good despite being really shallow at times, Yakuza 0 was really cool, and Puyo Puyo Tetris was a pleasant surprise even though it was technically released a year ago.

You semi-freely roam the world trying to find the next item/npc to progress the story further.
You fight enemies, solve puzzles and find upgrades.
Zelda is more focused on secrets and dungeons while LBA is more story driven.
Also, tank controls, even if you tolerate them, combat in LBA was still pure shit.
