People didn't pay attention to the marketing. From the first game informer the developers spoke on how they wanted to create a movie-like game. I knew what I was getting and loved it. Retards didn't and kept being fucking worthless. Usual day in video games.

Ironically, the game had some of the best gameplay this gen. The guns were creative and the werewolf fights were distinct from the human fights.

The story is so bad. Design wise it looks good, not too steampunk but content wise it's every lame steampunk trope rolled into one.

The gameplay was generic third-person shooter garbage and the story was beyond cliched. The only thing the game has going for it was its graphics, and even then it got a significant downgrade from its initial teaser trailers.

There are much better games out there to play if you want a glorified game of Simon. Don't waste your time on a bunch of failed director wannabes.

Lot of people expect good looking graphics, this game comes along:

'WTF IS THIS A PLAYABLE MOVIE?'

They tried to make it look as best they could but i guess they made it look SO good it ended up making the game shorter. As you notice there aren't a lot of long games with graphics like that one though I guess that's changing

Nah. The shooting was tight and the guns felt great. Even the regular guns felt different in classes. And the special guns felt unique and fun to mess around with. You know a game has potential when its biggest flaw is it being too short.

If they wanted to make a movie they should have really just made some CGI film and make it exclusive to PSN, PSVue, or whatever Sony's Netflix like thing is. The only good thing about "The Order: 18fps" is the setting and premise.

Everything except the setting, characters (aside from token 'bechdel test' checkmarks), technology/fashion, and premise.

I fear it's like another Borderlands: The setting, premise, characters and art style have so much potential for great games. Even the gameplay isn't particularly bad, but could use an extra boost in several departments, and yet the developers just shape that pure gold nugget into a doorstop every time.

This. It's more of a "weird history" setting, which is pretty much superior to "steampunk" in every conceivable way.

Which is probably why The Order had so much potential and Damnation didn't even have potential for potential.

No one here said it wasn't fun - it just wasn't worth the price, and didn't live up to its potential glory.

There are a lot of games that are bad, in objective comarison to other games, but even those bad games can be fun, subjectively. You would probably say those Tiger Electronic LCD handheld games are bad games, but I honestly have some I find fun.
