Honestly Xenoblade was at best mediocre. Something I just mindlessly played for a bit while listening to podcasts. And X was horrible.

X is the best Xenoblade game entirely due to extensive cosmetic character customization, faster deeper combat (than even XC2 by the looks of it), and great 30 hour goal of obtaining the mech that changes the scale and traversal of the game entirely while adding new mechanics.

yeah higher res, AA and all that is good, but I respect artistic intent and like to play games as they were intended, so if the texture pack wasn't put out by the devs I would be hesitant to use it. Same deal with some post effects and anything that can alter the intended mood or atmosphere.

Honestly the HD texture pack retains the art style pretty well. Really it's pretty much just the original textures but upscaled. As far as post-processing goes I just add a little SSAO.

Personally I must say that the game looks way better in hd and since you can see the xbox controls it make it easier when playing.

I'm partial to using the Wii U or Switch pro controllers since my computer has native bluetooth. Though the xbox elite paddles make switching arts a breeze
