The gameplay is good because multiple systems are interlocking and working with each other, which leads to unique experiences every time. Clearing base #45 or extracting prisoner #815 is fun because it is different every time. You guys are doing something immensely stupid in a clever manner. It would be much healthier to just admit the games you play - be they some Far Cry 3 reskin or MGS5 - are repetitive and lack challenge.

I know how this kind of behaviour works because as a teenager playing AC1 I did the same thing. You can almost turn it into a stealthy ninja game if you LARP hard enough (making up rules to create a challenge where there is none) but it's retarded to do so and you should rather look for a better game, or look for a different outlet for those impulses altogether.

If it is possible to beat a game in a boring manner then the game is boring. You can't will it to be interesting by making up interesting rules to restrict your playstyle. Your playstyle may be interesting, doesn't mean the game is. Any video game becomes challenging if you put on a blindfold.
