I don't play Metroid and haven't given much interest in it but for some reason I'm really interested in picking up Samus Returns

I know most people might just point me in the direction of AM2R, but seeing the classic Varia suit brought back and how they seem to be sprucing up the 2D gameplay looks intriguing. I just kind of wished it followed up Fusion instead of being another remake
