No do not do this. SLI is a meme and can cause some stupid problems and is just a pain in the ass in general. Its performance also wildly varies on if a game support it or not. Dont do SLI, just save up for a single card with more power.

SLI is generally finnicky, and asides from that, there's more heat and thus more noise. It's cool to look at but after a year of SLI, I wouldn't go back.

If you pay a penny more than $100 while giving him your 970, you're getting ripped off. Keep in mind that with the 10x series, the 9x series value has decreased even if they still retail for more.
