They were spicing things I guess. You could say Absolution TRIED to do new things too and they fucked it up, unlike Contracts which was a really good near-horror atmospheric game.

Does Contracts run on modern PC's? Will pick it up on the next steam sale, but Silent Assassin refuses to fucking work so I'm worried.

Depending on the game, FP can be an actual downside.
In Thief it's forgivable because there's rarely much guards and you can easily hide.

In Hitman as a whole, with social stealth or full suit mode, you need to fully be aware of your sorroundings.

First person would have been nightmerish in PRO Suit Only Colorado.
