Underage detected. The game was the beginning of ridiculous killstreaks and the objective lowering of the skill gap. My biggest annoyance were all of the retarded secondary weapon options. In previous games, pistol skill used to separate the men from the boys, and that was all thrown out the window so faggots could run around with dual shotguns.

I think the filters should do the trick. Too many servers use the HC rules but disallowing stuff like martyrdom is perfectly fine in +20 player servers. Read the name of the server to avoid those mod redirects.

Also I remember people used to play different patch versions of the game at some point. In 1.0 for example the weapon balance was slightly different, like how latest autosniper wasn't necessarily the best over M40 because it wasn't as accurate and couldn't be noscoped reliably.
