I don't think that's the case. I went to level 4 right away and ate shit over and over again. I was worried I was going to find out at the end that it was dropping my level for doing so poorly, but I fought hedlok at the end and got a level 4 clear.

Is it just me or does Ninjara's shield teleport actually hurt him more than it helps? It means he can't do a dash counter to close in, and it makes it a lot harder to block rushes.
I haven't played him too much so maybe you have more control over it than it seems?

The level 7 AI Ninjara I fought used it pretty well to get a free grab on me every time I used my rush at a bad time. It got to the point where if I saw his guard come up in the freeze frame when the rush starts I'd be forced to just stand there until it was over while he spends 5 seconds just guarding.

I think the idea is behind it is less of a comeback factor thing, and more that it forces the opponent to choose an agressive option instead of dashing around waiting for an opening. It's a bit of a lame playstyle but it seems like it makes him a good anti-meta pick; even Yabuki had trouble getting in on him, if you saw the first match

Jumpy chars in Twintelle's (mostly Ribbon and Twintelle) lose their advantages because of how the cars works. As for the arms, light arms like boomerang are easily avoidable thanks to the cars and heavy arms can be thrown upwards while hiding behind one of those.

In MinMin's, jumpy chars can easily goes from the center of the bowl to the edge and be over the heads of their opponents. If you are closer to the center than your opponent, heavy arms wouldn't be able to reach him because of the vertical distance and the safest bet is to dash back and grind for the super.

This problems doesn't happen in stages that are either flat or smaller and without obstacles (Helix's is a bit different since it blocks all kind of arms and can be destroyed)

What is Max Brass's character gimmick? I can tell he randomly gets buff if you don't attack but I can't tell what is does besides charge his punches. If you hit him with a charged punch he deflates but I can't really see anything besides that.

For headlock I generally use something like hydra and keep distance while throwing charged weapons.
Also, cool tip : if you leave the round before it ends, when you come back only this round would be resetted (meaning that if there's like a win in each side and that you are going to lose the last round, you just go back to the menu and you will restart with a win in each side, pretty useful against the final bosses)

So how do you utilize Minmin's deflect? I think I got the hang of Spring Man so I'm gonna start learning her. From what I've played so far (mostly in party mode so I don't fuck up my rank) it looks like Minmin's deflects are more defensive. I'm too used to using Spring Man's deflect to charge in, so I'm getting fucked up. Also taking any ARMS combos, I've been using ice Dragon and fire Chakram.
