The lost oddysey was great and blue Dragon was good, if you expected a traditional, run of the mill jrpg. Tera battle is well received but I only played a bit. Not my cup of tea

The Lost Odyssey was good, not great and Blue Dragon was mediocre at best.

His thing is doing traditional jrpgs, which is great, even more today since traditional jrpg aren't common anymore (even final fantasy went for the action rpg route)

Him making a new traditional rpg would be great, but it needs to be a AAA title for one of the three main consoles.

Making forgettable, small games for non core platforms won't help him reaching the sky again.

they pretty much have to revamp it, as it is Terra Battle is made for touch screens, however I really like it the way it is, no idea how they could revamp it to work on consoles while also keeping some of its unique gameplay but it is something they planned so I guess they do have an idea of how to do it.

I think the major problem is the fact that he needs a banging team. Imo, sakaguchi is a better "behind the scenes"leader, bringing out the best in people.

This is why I was excited to learn he was working with the bravely default devs. imaging that game but with sakaguchi's old school input.
