That's actually not a bad idea. Samus could have a shit ton of personality while still remaining a silent protagonist like the old days. Old school Samus was the coolest.

I actually don't object to Samus talking. It's just that it's pretty clear she doesn't talk very much in the first place. She's like, Silent Bob. She can talk, just doesn't need to.

Tough one. Toss up between Ridley from 3 and Flagraah (for its design mainly, kinda boring fight).

I am a human fan of Metroid Prime games and not a space pirate.

I'm just playing the trilogy right now. I'm seeing a lot of prime 1 in here. Does it just get worse and worse?

Is it really the best one? I had high hopes for 3.

thing is, in a proper metroid game, for the vast majority of the game there is nobody to talk to
it's just herself and a planet full of nasty critters

and while she isn't mute, Samus doesn't seem like the person who'd constantly narrate everything she does to herself

3 is far less exploring and more action-gamey, especially during the first planet, Norion.
I personally enjoyed it a lot, but it has some falws not present in the other ones (hyper mode can trivialise the diffciulty, no power bombs, zipwires suck, and beams stack)

It did also have some cool areas though.

As for the worse and worse I will say all three games were excellent, and it is very much down to different strokes

Prime 1 is the best overall in my opinion and also the truest conversion of Metroid to 3D. Both Echoes and Corruption did have some improvements but both had some steps back at the same time.

It's a great idea anons. I loved DOOM and I'd love to see something Similar. More interactions with objects trought the POV could be a great idea. Instead of doing cinematics with Samus' model I'd love to see more things trought her point of view just like Doom did.
