Demon's, Dark 1, and Bloodborne were good. But both Dark 2 and 3 weren't as good. If they're going to make more, make them more unique with a new setting.

I started the Souls franchise about four years ago and I'm currently working on my first BB run. I want more. I wouldn't mind either new DLC for BB, BB2, any sort of remaster of Demon's Souls, or a new approach to the franchise. Maybe another one-off game like BB but with a new flavor? I'd love to play a game by From where you fight cryptids and country-specific folklore

I only played Dark Souls 1, 2, 3 and Bloodborne. It's easily one of my favorite series ever; it's just too fun to play.

First of all if you are a PC user there is no way you will be able to play with mouse and keyboard because the studio thought it was a good idea to make the controls shitty and unknown and most of which can't be rebinded.
the controls are super clunky and makes you die in areas where you obviously shouldnt and the design even makes it worse. and whenever you say that the cancerous fanbase naturally assumes you are generally bad in games. and the story is not clear and non existent if you dont spend hours reading some loading screens and item description boxes.

They should evolve. Keep the atmosphere, make the lore more consistent instead of cryptic one liners from NPCs and item descriptions that explain nothing, add more variety to the battle: bosses have a shitload of moves, you get almost nothing. 3 went the right direction in that one, just needs a bit more and it'll be perfect. Make different playstyles viable and thats about it.

The genre has potential.

I've only played BB, DS 1 and DS 3. (Just got DS 3 this week).

Overall, I like them. Bloodborne definitely had some issues, I always felt like I was stuck in mud with movement... but, still an improvement over DS 1.

I wish they were a bit more generous with the storytelling. There's gotta be a better way than fifteen hours of cutscenes, sure, but having to obtain every item and read every description isn't right either.

I think it's overrated for the wrong reasons
It's not a difficult game, it's just unforgiving with small mistakes
It's PvP is not great, it's flat out flawed and in the last game heavily fucked up in the invasion aspect, without mentioning that the netcode remained garbage throught the entire franchise
The real shinning points of Dark Souls are the settings, weapon variety and level design. Dark Souls 3 lacked a lot in the later.

It's because B Team knew that 80% of the longevity of a souls game comes from the PvP, and so they balanced and designed the game around this. While it did result in a comparatively weaker PvE experience than DS1, the PvP imo was more than enough to make up for it

They copied MH but dumbed it down for the masses so in the end you get something that gets old after a few games.
This isn't Armored Core or Dynasty Warriors where you can just make a few QoL and content changes and have it be popular. If only they focused on the exploration part more then you'd have a series that could be repeated ad infinitum, it's the only redeeming aspect of the games.
