Konami has always disliked / not cared of Silent Hill. They hated TS, they hate the series, and they hate the fans for not just buying their yearly sport games and spending cash on Pachinkos. Actually, nu-Konami hates video games and gamers in whole.

Mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate.
The "sh2proxy" is a all-in-one fix, that works as a no-cd crack as well. It is included in the pack.
If you use the NEW fix mentioned in the guide, you can use the sh2proxy's EXE as the no-cd crack!

In case you experience issues saving the game / not being able to edit the disp.ini, make sure the files aren't set to "Read Only", and run the game as Administrator.
If SH2 gets stuck in a black screen upon launch, close it and re-start it again.

SH2-4 do not support Xinput gamepads. Either use Xpadder, a DirectInput pad, or just play with KB+M.
You can now see some decent emulator settings for SH1 as well in the guide. If the image of the game does NOT fill your entire screen in fullscreen mode, check your plugin AND GPU control panel's image scaling settings!
Also give the new PGXP emulator a shot for a lot less wobbly PS1 graphics.

I found once an amazing RE 2 Platinum PC version. Compatible with the latest shit, everything included, just unzip and play, saves worked, NTFS compatible etc etc. Never found it again, I still weep to this day. Got an amazing SH1 emu iso, didn't even felt like it was emulated, from the controls to the FR and so on and so forth.

I guess you found the Jap-only special release, maybe with fan-translation. That shit's almost unobtainium nowadays.
That being said, when in doubt, just emulate PS1 originals. RE4 HD, REmake HD and Zero HD are on Steam, and work sweet.

Talking about the ancient, fan-made "PC conversion"? Yeah, that's just a rip of the game, running on custom emulator with fancy GUI launcher.
You get way better results on modern emus. Even the typical wobbling of PS1 graphics can be cured now.
