Usually, you play as some kid in Tokyo who gets caught up between the forces of Law (angels) and Chaos (demons). You build up a party of your own demons to fight through the crisis and can fuse your demons in order to make stronger demons. Gods from all sorts of religions often get involved but the top dog is usually the Abrahamic God YHVH.

As for TeS I guess you could go on a quest to wipe out the Daedra, but due to how their function you would rather have to do that with clever plans, magic and politics than brute force. Aedra(the 8/9 divines) function more like the forces of nature and creation and their bodies are literally the planets encircling Nirn, so I don't think it would be possible to get rid of them, at least for a mortal.

You have a bunch of spin off, Persona is the most famous one but is really light-hearthed compared to SMT, doesn't has the pantheon genocide and is much more weeb

Well, they're fallen gods after all.

And technically they're not even actual gods I guess, but due to how underdeveloped DS lore is it's hard to tell. Actual gods are mentioned in some item descriptions, while the beings you fight are "Lords". On the other hand these "Lords" seem to be even more important and powerful than DS "gods", at least at the peak of their power, so who knows.
