This is why I never update my drivers. Literally never had a problem until you update one thing then suddenly nothing else works cause they all have to be updated too. Never update drivers, never update windows. Never update anything.

I dont have any drivers installed and my 980 ti works fine

Denuvo don't interfere with the performance you dumpshit.
V5 will have the vmp protection again. So it will be harder.

And Denuvo is only dead when there are day one cracks and day one cracked updates.

1080p30 with drops to 20 on base PS4, 1080p unlocked with drops to low 30s on PS4 Pro, and even on my R9 Fury at 1440p the shit was dropping below 60 FPS at times.

Most of the modern video games have very very bad complex geometry usage partially because level designers usually dont have the slightest idea of their job except placing million copies of the same grass/tree object while GPU instancing is a thing.
I chalk it off to amateurs having a corporate umbrella where the blame is lost through the ranks.
And the gayman audience makes it worse by "get a better GPU bruh".

Don't you get it? It's not about how many sales you get from customers who think your product is good.
It's about how many people don't get to play/try your game for free.
Who cares if you game sells less than a million.
As long as the number of pirates is lower then there is no lost sales due to piracy and as we all know lost sales due to piracy are very huge!

so its really not so bad

Spending money on a DRM license that gets bypassed in no time is not worth it.
And it's not a lost sale, people who pirate didn't intend to buy it in the first place.

I pirate most of my games but I buy those I like even if it's available for free, latest purchase being Prey.

The problem lies within the core idea of denuvo: Its basically a glorified, fancy code scrambler. It has some other luxurious features like hardware bound encryption keys and online verification, but these don't really impact the performance.

What affects performance is the obfuscating of code by adding useless variables/ functions, dead ends, loops and tons of unoptimised code to make reverse engineering really difficult.
But this shit costs tons of performance because it is just fucking unoptimised.

Optimizing garbage code is paradoxical and counterintuitive, so what they will do is just punch out new versions of denuvo with even more obfuscating until they can finally say "hurr durr no more software pirates" and the last 10 people on earth with supercomputers will clap as they are now the only people left on the planet that can run software with denuvo in it.

Again, try telling that to investors. There's no way to measure intent or ability to purchase when someone pirates a game, and they'd rather not take the risk.

"Security software" is a funny thing to call it. Yes, I am mad about a company bundling their game with malware that doesn't allow to me control the data on my own computer, doesn't allow me to play the game without connecting to their botnet, destroys my SSD and makes my game run like shit. Every company that puts Denuvo in their game deserves to die.

yes, it'll keep thieves away, it wont bother anyone who doesnt mind having their prostate checked, but a good part will keep away from that mall and go elsewhere for their purchase

member when xbone lost the gen due to DRM? i member, pcūcks like you dont seem to mind, cant even resell our own games, having 2-3 drm layers on top of each other is too much
