I let two people borrow some games, then when I ask for they act like I don't know what I'm talking about. Honestly, I think one of them lost/broke it and was too embarrassed to admit it. The other was probably being truthful since I asked a couple years later lol.

House got broken into like 13 or so years ago and my PS2 and a good chunk of my games were stolen. Oddly enough they left my gamecube, but stole the gamecube games.

It wasn't too bad, the insurance company had a replacement program that would replace stolen items and send money for the stuff that they could not replace. They pretty much got everything right outside sending me the PS2 Harvest Moon (not AWL, the other one), and not the gamecube one.

I once got acussed of being a thief, i used to attend sunday school and this one kid exchanged his copy of Megaman Zero 2 for my copy of some shitty monster truck game ayy, then the fucker stopped going to sunday school and i never heard from him until like 6 months passed.

One of my cousins told me a story about when he was a kid he accompanied his mom shopping and he had forgotten his GBA with some Pokemon game inside. He didn't realize until they got home but by then the store was closed, so he waited until the next morning to retrieve it and it was right where he had left it. Lucky for him the store employees were probably lazy and didn't really tidy up the store after closing.

When I was younger, I made friends with a black kid in school. I brought him over to my house to play some vidya and I showed him Yugioh Duelist of The Roses. He played that for a while then we played some fightan games and shit.

On his way out, I noticed a square shape on his jacket and I told him to open up. He kept saying "no no man, it's cool man" but I told him to open up. He had my copy of the game and I laughed it off and took it back. Then I waved bye to him.

The weird part is while I had the savvy to have him open up and return the game to me, I legitimately didn't think he was trying to steal it. I thought he was just going to play a prank on me or something to hide the game and give it back later. He stopped talking to me at school and ignored me.

The realization that he was actually attempting to steal from me didn't come until a few months later when I actually thought about it. I was a very naive kid.


What depresses me is that I didn't have many friends as a kid, so having someone actually come over and play vidya with me was a rare treat. If he had just asked to borrow the game, I would have let him (though I probably wouldn't have gotten it back I guess)

Once the house was flat out robbed. Everyone lost lots. We lost the family PC which was absolute trash and couldn't play anything, but I also lost my genesis and SNES. Ended up getting the SNES back, but the genesis was found destroyed for some reason.

Another time was fairly simple, a new friend I made at school came to my place to hang out. Afterwards, I couldn't find my GBA anywhere. For a while i assumed I misplaced it, but then the fucker shows up with a simila coloured GBA with the same knicks in the same spots. The cunt denied it was mine was confronted, until my mother talked to his parents.

The last time I loaned a guy Katamari Damacy and he sold it. Completely unapologetic. Fucking cunt of a person, I never invited him to hang out again. There was no value in befriending someone that inconsiderate.

A "friend" stole my Fire Emblem Blazing Sword Cartridge and my Game Boy SP when I let him borrow it on the playground.

When we were rallying up to the door, I asked him where it was and he said "Oh, I left it on the park bench." I flipped but believed him, then went back outside later with a teacher to see it. Obviously it was gone, but what was even more aggravating it was the teacher didn't even bother to interrogate the kid.

I told him it wasn't there, and apologized saying "I swear I'll pay you back!"


He literally moved the next day.

The neighborhood friend I would hang out with came over to borrow some N64 games randomly. Since I was now onto the PS2 and an ignorant kid I didn't really mind so I gave him my best games. Two days later they had moved out and I never saw them again.
