I dislike Chloe so much. Her personality when she's crippled is infinitely better.

The most disappointing thing about the sequel/prequel is that it's focused on her, and I heartedly dislike her.

It's probably because you're a straight white cis male scum. If you were a free thinking independent strong lesbian who don't need no man, maybe you could understand this game better.

It's comfy, but storywise, it's really top 3 of the most flawed stories I have played in a long time.

Yes, and literally all emotional weight or attatchement to the story and characters is lost if you don't somehow love Chloe. Even though she's a bitchy irrational teenager who treats Max and everyone else like shit, all while putting her life and those around her in danger constantly.
Every aspect of her was unlikeable, and was easily the game's biggest failing.
