It was a blatant scam from the outset. They didn't really convey that it was literally just a phone you plug into a tv with a controller, and children donated their parents' money thinking they were going to be playing fucking Skyrim for less than $200.

A real investor would have sat them down and asked them what their whole business plan and who they planed to maintain and turn a profit on the whole thing. Upon realizing these people had no idea what they were doing, they would have just sent them packing. But with crowdfunding, you can get millions of dollars from regards that are so captivated by the wishful thinking and good intentions, that they don't stop to think about how the real world actually works.

All they did was create one of those crowdfunding hype videos that have been done a million times and the LE CONTENT CREATOR COMMUNITY did the rest. Every single youtuber and twitter person was talking about it and they got tons of free advertising. When it finally got into the hands of consumers it was a disaster. It was not a successful product because it drove them into bankruptcy and they had to sell everything they had to Razer.
