Characters were the most hackneyed, 2000s anime stereotypes possible.
Jokes were flat like week opened soda. All one liners relating directly to character stereotypes. No setups or payoffs.
Backgrounds and enemies were bland.
Grinding was dull.

Only good thing about the game was Solange. Her character design alone was worth the agony.

They're Donkey Kong Country sprites. They took screenshots of 3D models so that they looked 3D but had 2D performance. Blade Strangers makes 3D models but then traces over them so that they look like sprites.
