>Solid and enjoyable online experience, it should get more weapons and bosses, the amount of maps is great but only two different bosses is a real tragedy. Almost every perk except maybe two or three feels useful and enjoyable but it seems they are doing a good job at trying to gather data from players with their surveys and an influx of players due to a free week and it being a free game this month on PSN

you "control" two characters, what that really means is that you have to babysit one of them, you get separated all the time, when you get separated there are a billion things to pick up meaning that once you solve a puzzle to reunite you have to backtrack to grab extra stuff because someone was terrified of a review saying the game was too short

also there's literally no music in the entire game, one of the few things that eased the monotony of playing RE2: ammo and herb candystore was that the atmosphere could get pretty tense at points, and that was mostly thanks to the music

also gameplay is constantly getting interrupted by cutscenes, the frequency is almost as bad as max payne 3, you can skip them at least

>the game looks great, the art is bright and detailed. The level design and control is solid. Some smaller things like being able to also use your buster when having a sub weapon is nice too. Still the way bolts work is dumb, the soundtrack isn't as memorable as other entries, and the dumb system where you have to unlock the later four bosses instead of having all eight from the start kills replay value as it is a bit more linear now which is something megaman shouldn't be.
The voices in the NA version annoyed me so much i had to play the Japanese version.

I actually rather enjoy when a game calls out the protagonist (and, by proxy, the player) for being death loving bastards who find entertainment in the slaughter.

Sure, but that was by complete accident. Who the hell would actually expect to unleash a wave of undead? Besides, there's nothing that Nazis did in this game that we don't see BJ do at some point. Sure, that one guys feeds prisoners to dogs and that's pretty fucked up. But BJ drowns guys in their own piss, tortures a man with a chainsaw (and likely would've killed him), and is allied with a spy who would lure soldiers off duty then sleep with them, killing them in their sleep to then dress up in their uniforms to sneak inside a base and kill more Nazis (which is against the Geneva convention). Plus the entire point of the mission was to prolong the war which at this point was coming to a close.

>I think the original is way more tightly tuned than the Definitive Edition, the only real thing that absolutely needed fixing was the inability to return to old areas/the game once completed. The new areas were neat, but the jump dash ruins the difficulty and trivializes the ginso tree, and being able to Bash your thrown grenade was game breaking, especially in the gumo ruins. If you kept a close eye on your map/unlocked the sight abilities you could 100% the game while flowing from objective to objective so the ability to teleport through savepoints breaks the flow and makes the game feel disjointed and mechanical. It's obvious as fuck that the game wasn't built around the new abilities but was perfect for all your original movement options

I don't think it's the single best game I've ever played, but it's top 3. I've put about 40 hours into it in the week that I've had it, did the main story, beat Ganon, etc etc, now I need to see if I keep adoring it while I continue to explore.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the wild. Fun game. Fun gameplay and fun story and characters leading up to Ganon. They actually did something semi-unique with zelda, as far as I know I havent played a couple of the recent ones. but it falls flat when they have to adhere to the traditional story design they've set up in the previous games. I know why they have to do it but I just wish they would try something a little more interesting.

Ganon was by far the worst part of this game for me. he looked cool-ish. in his second form. the first is probably the least memorable of his appearances and I'm sure I'll struggle to remember what a nobody boss fight that was.

Not to mention I prefer a more intelligent Ganon to a pure incarnation of evil but that's just a personal preference. I understand that he doesn't need motives to be bad. his entire point is being evil. But While fighting him I was like "why am I doing this? Why is he doing this?" and just generally didn't see the reason in continuing a fight that just meant nothing. Yeah I know if I don't hyrule is fucked, big news. But I guess with the plethora of games under my belt "just because" isn't good enough for me anymore. again, my opinion. I'm sure there are plenty of people into that/

Zelda in this wasn't that great compared to others. not my least favorite but not high up either. Mainly because of how it ended. I feel like the memories (which I gathered all of) were going to lead up to one big emotional event where we met again but I felt nothing. just "oh cool. that's neat. is this the end?"

That said I loved almost all the gameplay. Eventide, the yiga clan hideout and the Bolson Building company missions were highlights for me. The great fairies were awesome.

so yeah. all in all I'd say like 7/10. I probably won't ever replay it though.

oh and the entire gerudo desert part. the camel was by far my favorite dungeon and boss fight. fuck the gorons and the salamander. they did the one thing they could do to make the new goron champion kid (yunobo?) interesting and I just hated him. especially guiding him up that mountain.

I liked it at first, then I loved it, then I went back to liking it.

At first I thought the game was kind of boring. I'm not used to the semi directionless nature of an open world game. I kept doing the same types of things and shrine puzzles weren't meaty enough to feel all that satisfying. But then I started role playing and putting limits on myself.

Played for hous while only allowing myself to use bows and boomerangs. Went around hunting animals and living off the land. But eventually that got boring, and I was almost done with the game. Then I realized I had a camera, and the whole game kind of changed. I started tying to catalog every living animal and most fruit/herbs. Playing this way really let me appreciate the amount of effort that went into this game.

The constant "ladies man" thing reminded me of what I was playing too, but not that big a deal. "Hi. I'm a confidant. Pretend to be my boyfriend."

I recently figured out I could min-max Personas. Instantly activated my autism. Nothing in this entire game needs something with 99 MAG with all three amps, but i'll be damned if I don't make one anyway.

I guess that's true what you said about Zelda. She definitely has a lot more personality and smarts than previous versions (bar tetra in terms of personality). I just felt that with the kind of characters and flaws they built her up to have through the memories that we would actually get to see them. . like get resolved.
We see that she obtains the power to fight and fucks Ganon up, sure. But like, the last time I saw her she was crying into Links arms about how everything she did was for nothing? And then she leaves, gives you to Purah, puts the master sword into slumber and goes to fight Ganon. Fails and then just keeps him at bay.

At no point did I ever see her after having strife about whether or not she was the embodiment of wisdom actually realise that she was and gain confidence in herself. she goes from 1 to 100 real quick. Same thing with the king.

We see that he disagrees with zelda researching the sheikah and ignoring her duties as princess and learning to seal away ganon when in fact they were both the same thing. But we never see him realise "oh shit. maybe she's got a point." I'd love a memory of her standing up to her father for what she believes will work. Maybe the king does say something like that but I'm not going back to play it again.

Again. all personal complaints it was fine how it was but I feel as though we didn't get to see some key development points for zelda on her way to becoming what she is at the end of the game. she just tries to stop ganon with a power she doesn't have yet and then in the hundred year span goes "oh yeah I can do this now".
