Spiders do have claws, it's something JMS tried to add during the Other arc when he gave Peter retractable spikes, but no one liked it.

Slott tried to justify once in the entire entire by having Otto scratch his enemy and with that scratch he planted a tracking device. He used those claws only that one time and it was never mentioned again since.

Gameplay. Not only it does look like Bamham clone, it looks it plays exactly like Amazing Spider-man movie tie-ins from Beenox. I suspect they collaborated at some capacity. Also, QTE was like 40% and it didn't look any good. They also didn't show very much of Peter Parker side they claim is going to be big for the first time in Spider-man game, I suspect because they have shit to show and don't expect release until 2019.

Yeah im kinda sad too. The swinging looks ok and a step up from ASM2 but not a return to the glory days. Looks floaty and weightless sometimes and like we dont really need to release at a specific point to get either speed or height etc.

Devs have posted and bragged about how the webs to stick to buildings but i dont think the realise that the people want that because of the implications to swinging it brings; turning around a corner needs your web to be on one side etc.

yeah many think it isnt moon swinging but it is, it just masked it quite nicely at times unless you did that upside down hang where it then shot a web directly up into the sky and its there for all to see. Despite being moon swinging it still did the swinging better than the ASM games as it had nice acrobatics and a sense of speed and weight despite hanging off the moon. You couldnt do a 180 turn at the drop of a hat and not lose speed.

Good taste btw anon. People overrate spiderman2 due to the swinging but ultimate spiderman had great webswinging (not to the same level) and what it lost in the fun swinging it made up in characters, story, boss fights and playable venom. Id rank SM2 2nd and web of shadows 3rd; its combat was the best weve had but its story, VA's and missions were complete arse im sorry mate, i could only do beat up 50 thugs so many times.

Upper native the writers weren't to sure what to do with the Black suit design where they wanted to make a villain with the alien suit, but the popularity of the Black suit look was big so they wanted have a back down to bring the blacksuit back if the villain plot fell through(which it did back then not to be tried again for another 4 years).

Back then one of the evil black suit idea was it taking over Osborn's dead body as a way to get back at Peter for being rejected, however it was thrown out as an idea because they thought it devalued Gwen's death(oh how times have changed).

Because it wasn't ABOUT introducing all the Spider-Men to each other, it was about Dan Slott's shitty OC villains slaughtering all the alternate universe Spider-Men you ever cared about in stupid ways and insulting the reader for being upset about it. And the main characters weren't even alternate Spider-Men people cared about, but Dan Slott's OC Silk, whom literally nobody liked or wanted involved because she hadn't gotten her comic - which was good and notably not written by Slott - yet.

Slott didn't add anything to Spider-Man as a whole with that event, he fucking took shit away. He ruined multiple characters such as the notoriously well-loved "Mayday" Spider-Girl, outright murdered others like the Spider-Man from the Amazing Friends cartoon, and all the cool heavy hitters people liked, like Captain Universe Spidey and the old Jacket Spider-Man, either jobbed to wank off his retarded villains or were red herrings and not even the Spider-Men you wanted to see but YET MORE SHITTY OCs BUT IN DISGUISE.

I haven't read it and even I know how much of a colossal mess it was. OC villains got introduced that basically slaughtered the different Spider-men by simply batting their eyes at them. Hell, Leopardon of all things got DESTROYED IN ONE ATTACK despite canonically never even getting defeated or really damaged in his own show and having a finisher that one-shot everything in the later episodes.

Yeah, this is how it is. Gold on 5 easy races, Johnny storm race unlocked, then 5 gold medium races, another 5 gold on hard another, and 5 gold on insane you get the last, web swing speed increases with each one.

A lot of people hate the VA in WoS but I kinda liked it, idk i've never really hated any of the VAs that voiced spiderman, the most unfit I think was the one that voiced TASM.

By improving the combat a little, fixing what Arkham did wrong: the pasivness of the enemies. Arkham combat system itself it's great, they don't need to change it for a new one if they can't come up with a better one, just improve what's broken. But get rid of the QTE's.

I think they capped the speed in the e3 footage. It explains how he hits his max speed at about halfway into the full swing. They probably did it to make the footage more "clean" if they did do it. I really loved how wacky and unpredictable the old spider-man PS1 game was. Spiderman(2002) will always be my favorite movie. Peter Parker deals with being a low income citizen which was pretty relatable growing up. Every other movie is growing up as a rich superhero or middle class like Batman or X-Men.

To be completely fair, asm2 does succeed in giving the illusion of physics based web-swinging 90% of the time. 9 times out of 10, your web will actually appear to attach to something physical and you swing from it, this moonswinging only happens around trees and small buildings.

From games? Best boss fight was with the beetle in ultimate imo. A chase through the city, from tunnels to high on sky scrapers followed by a simple boss fight in a construction zone. Kinda blended all aspects of the spiderman game together from webswinging to combat to humor and story

it kinda served his plot better if anything by having it be organic and tied to his emotions. How else would you display the sadness in peter if he had the webshooters? You could have him fail to crawl a wall but it doesnt make for good film when you can have spiderman fail mid swing and fall to a painful landing.

Raimi had it as part of the whole package and i think it worked better like that
