I don't know if you are a liar or not but fuck it. I love the Prime Triology, I love Returns and I'm dying to play TF and the new things Retro is working on. If you are really someone who worked in those, thank you, I replayed Prime 2 and Returns this year, the both are masterpieces. I admire Retro and everyone who worked on those games.

We wanted to do Zelda, but since there are already 2 team dedicated to Zelda, there was no reason for a third team to do Zelda.
We wanted to make a new IP with what we learned from Prime. But we were given the opportunity to revive DKC.

Enguarde was planned but cut because we gave the Kong the ability to attack underwater. We really focused on the Kongs instead of animal buddies this time.

We just wanted to work on a different game than what Tanabe wanted to work on. He wanted to make a 4th Prime after TF, while we just desperately wanted to make a new IP instead. He also had this mentality that if somethings wrong, he wasn't at fault, but we were. So Tanabe left and hasn't returned to work with Retro. I now see he made a new team to work on whatever he wants, and that is Prime 4.
