Just so you know, you can fish U-material from Grass bass, their bait is dumplings in armonica village, or the one on the road to it. And there's a rare frog enemy in the east road that also drops it. I found it by running into the overworld bee enemies.

Did anyone else run into other rare monsters?

That has to stick first. After everything goes wrong at the end of the Castle Rean pretty much instantly reverts to his typical self loathing passive aggression, with all positive development revoked.

Well this time he actually has justification for self loathing rather some delusion that flew in the face of basically everything his family and Ymir did for him.

Still though, happy Rean didn't last long. And sure enough his ogre mode is out of control again, probably because his new found confidence and positivity died with Crow and the war he was forced to fight in.

There's lot of neat stuff if you pay attention. Adds to the charm of the game in my opinion. Crossbell is indeed a little overwhelming though, in sky you were limited per city, but here i can go everywhere.

Presumably so that he could be the next Duke Albarea and Rufus wouldn't have to fulfill that obligation, leaving him free to be governor general over in Crossbell instead.

He's basically yet another example of Osborne breaking the mold and elevating people that have ambition beyond their social status in Erebonia.

Even nobilty have their limits, and Rufus could never go beyond one of the dukes of the 4 houses. He could never actually rule the nation because only the Imperial family does that and he wasn't one of them.

But thanks to Osborne he's now the defacto ruler of Crossbell, a position of influence much bigger than Duke of one province.
