Esna is just what she seems: the water spirit who lets you restore everything, and your reward is being the big hero of everywhere. She might get kidnapped, but she's unlikely to turn evil.

Kind of. There could be more to it. You can also grow and make items in a garden area, and It kind of had some sort of social sim element, getting more people in your oasis and keeping the people in your place more happy as well. You can also send out your party to handle certain tasks. So there are managing aspects besides actively doing stuff by yourself if you want.

That's honestly a feature more games should do. It's really nice when it is in some games, so you know you can make the most out of everything, when you can, and don't have to waste time.

Hopefully there is a lot more to the game than the demo has shown, I wasn't really impressed, it could have been a little longer in all honesty. I really enjoyed the Miitopia demo much more, I was a big fan of Tomodachi life for awhile though.

I think I'll like this game better overall, but I gotta agree that the Miitopia demo showed off its game better. It was also longer since it was basically the first section of the game in full with all the mechanics available.

The Treehouse presentation with that mini dungeon is what got me more interested in Ever Oasis and probably shows off what you can do in the game better.

Because sand regions make sense for black characters (and a little bit of diversity) to be in.
