It's probably because Game Freak keeps giving gen 1 mons cool stuff (Zard getting 2 megas, only gen 1 mons getting alola variants) and neglecting other gens (gen 5 didn't have any megas until ORAS, which added ONE, somehow despite all alolan forms being gen 1 the Oddish line got left out of the dex).

HAL Labs likes to spread the love by doing stuff like bringing back Pix when they could have easily done Computer Virus and no one could have complained.

It seems very unlikely to me that Butter Knight is Kirby's Adventure concept art, given the level of detail and the art style. It could only be from something on SNES or later. I'd wager it had something to do with Kirby GCN, which was rumored to be called "Kirby Adventure" internally, while the NES game was called something like "Kirby of the Stars: the Fountain of Dreams" in Japan.
The other profiles from the same booklet have some concept art that look like they could be from that game too.

In Kirby Switch, you CAN imbue helpers weapons with abilities. In the trailer, when they are fighting Wispy Woods, if you pay close attention you'll notice that Wester is using Spark+Whip, and Sir Kibble is using Fire+Cutter.

What would it look like if Kirby did something like Mario Odyssey? I'm imagining the premise would be Kirby going full dream warrior, due to the dreams of sleeping people suddenly growing chaotic all at once, thus turning Dreamland (and beyond) into a twisted mess. The little quests from Kirby's Dreamland 3 would have a larger focus, but defeating bosses calms specifically influential dreams.

The villain could either be Nightmare, Zero3, or someone new.

Real-Time Rpg. The camera appears behind Kirby and his allies in battle, similar to the dragon quest 7 remake. Maximum three party members out at one time, but you can store extra back-up members that you can swap in and out. You can choose from 2 actions for each party member, which will hit the enemy directly in front of them, set them into a guard state, or swipe a line with your finger between another party member to switch their positions. The effectiveness of special skills like Kirby's suction or a status move is dependent on your performance in one of many timing-based mini-games, like from mega-ton punch or Kirby Quest. Each enemy could be weak to different types of abilities/elemental attacks in order to encourage the use of Kirby's suction ability.
