The Witcher 3 is my favorite. Bloodborne is excellent as well and I'd say still one of best looking games ever even with the PS4's frame drops. I really don't think you can go wrong with either of these games.

BOTW is disappointing to me as a long time Zelda fan. Not by any means the worst in the series but not really what I wanted from this series. I can see why people like it, but I'll never think of it as one of the greatest of all time or one of the best in the series.

TW3 had great combat: it was both massively improved from 2 and going by WRPG standards it's some of the very best. People shit on the combat by making retarded comparisons against action-rpg dark souls and DMC3 director led Dragons Dogma. Both JP games.

TW3 is the biggest and most polished open world game ever, a pinnacle of the genre every other open world RPG will be measured against. The absolute best combination of graphics + content + story.

That said Bloodborne is the game of the generation.

Bloodborne is basically perfect. The only way to objectively improve it is if it actually ran at 30 fps.
BotW has some glaring faults like how there's a vast and amazing world but there's barely anything to do in it except playing around. No substantial upgrades that makes a trek feel worth it.
W3 didn't improve anything except animations and voice acting over predecessors but made many aspects worse. They didn't really nail the monster hunter feel.

Have Witcher 3 but haven't played it yet.
Dropped Bloodborne 10 hours in, didn't manage to be anywhere near as compelling as any of the other 3 Dark Souls games.
BotW was an instant 120 hours splurged by me.

Bloodborne and W3 are both equally good for practically opposite reasons. Zelda is just the best thing Nintendo has given us in a while, but not at the same level as the former two. If Bloodborne had been multiplat and 60fps it probably would edge out W3 for me.

Just grabbed witcher 3 on gog sale and was pretty disappointed by the game. Griffin took forever to die even though witchers are supposed to be tough or some shit. Spent the whole time rolling around like a bitch and dying in 3 hits. Boring as fuck combat.
