What is the game like?

I'm currently screwing around with Puzzle & Dragons, and Fire Emblem Heroes. P&D challenges me to get better, while FEH is just curiosity and a distraction until Fate/Grand Order comes out. What does Brave Frontier do that's different?

Its a pretty straightforward rpg. There are no puzzles.

You have a team of five ,its gacha based, you can attack /defend/special attack or use items. There are elemental strengths and weaknesses.

Its not going to blow your mind, dude, but it's clear they put some effort into it.

That doesn't sound too bad, although it does sound quite dull. Character designs in gacha are fairly irrelevant, since they are generally just a still image (can't animate every one of 2000 characters in just a year) and because you are likely to not run into 90% of them. I guess I'll keep it in mind, although not really going to prioritize the game.

Every character has an idle and attack animation.

To some degree character animations and positioning actually matter, because an extra damage mechanic is about timing attacks to hit within frames of each other.
