I usually hate games with grindfests and random loot like that, but Nioh really hooked me and I almost completed Way of the Demon already
I guess It's because of the aesthetics (a weeb's heaven) and the combat being basically "like dark souls, but better in every way"

Bloodborne weapons are all unique. Nioh weapons have all the same moveset and are nothing special. And yes, you have different stances, but most of the times you're only using two of them.

Fully agree. The game is all flash, no substance. The stealth system is complete garbage and should have been removed because it means every fucking encounter is 100% controlled by the player and you're never going to get into a fight without getting the first move.
The game is just really boring too, the dungeon crawling isn't fun like SMT games and the level design is basically FF13 tier hallways with an occasional treasure chest room, the heists are so lacking that I feel like they end up just intruding on you going to the dinner on rainy days over and over again.
The one good thing is the music, menu design and visuals, which are really great, but the fact is the gameplay just isn't fun, Queen being treated like the second coming of YHVH despite the fact that the cat was doing fine as the strategist before she joined and immediately relegated to ryuji's punching bag stats also was pretty shit.

I'm about to fall for a meme pack. I'm thinking of buying a PS4 Pro basically for Bloodborne, Horizon, Nioh and Death Stranding.

I know that Bloodborne didn't get a patch. Does this mean that it's impossible to play it at 4K?

Playing through this right now. It's ok at best. Level's are pretty shitty, enemy variety is shitty and the bosses are hit or miss. I absolutely hate the loot system and the combat gets pretty stale after a while. The story is boring as hell and the game is way too long.

The gameplay is too mashy, the addition to use other weapons was cool but none of the weapons felt different from each other other than having a different special attack. Maybe if they had implemented a basic moveset like press A for light attacks and B for heavy attacks I would've enjoyed it more. I just didn't have any fun playing through the game, if it weren't for the artstyle I probably would've dropped the game.
