- roleplaying is non-existent
- the story is beyond retarded
- bugs out the ass
- crafting and upgrades are entirely linear, with no choices involed or alternatives
- combat is a broken mess, especially stealth
- difficulty = enemies turn into HP-sponges
- base-building is a buggy, tacked-on afterthought (many wall-pieces have no corresponding corners etc.)
- there is 0 build-variety or character-progression, every plathrough is the same due to level-gating perks
- skills are gone
- exploration becomes pointless after your first playthrough, every location follows the exact same formular (enemies -> 1 collectible -> chest with leveled loot)

And on top of all of that, the modding scene is pretty much dead.
I haven't even mentioned the usual, retarded Bethesda writing and them taking a big, steamy shit all over the original Fallout world-building/lore.

I find it to be a good roleplaying game. All of my settlements are painstakingly built to be high-tech military institutions and all of my settlers are dressed in BoS Fatigues and Combat Armor. A few of them I even let roam around in BoS painted Power Armor as the designated "Knights" of the settlement.

And the quests themselves lend well to roleplaying. I left that Synth abomination claiming to be my son in a blast of nuclear fire with the rest of the Institute, and I tearfully saluted Paladin Danse right before putting a slug in the base of his skull as he assured me that he had to be the example, not the exception with Synths.

And since I sided with the Brotherhood, the sky is usually heavy with Vertibirds flying somewhere or engaging on hostiles. My whole world looks like a war that the Brotherhood is on the cusp of winning.
